After 15 wonderful years of running Hen Holidays, we’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend this service.

Due to ongoing avian influenza restrictions and lockdown measures affecting poultry movements, we’ve only been able to welcome hens to our premises intermittently over the past five years. Unfortunately, the current regulations make it unworkable to continue. These include requirements such as having a vet present on arrival, installing concrete-based runs, and customers needing a County Parish Holding (CPH) number issued by DEFRA.

As a result, it’s no longer possible for us to offer this much-loved part of our business—for now.

We remain hopeful that regulations will ease in the future, and if they do, we would be delighted to bring Hen Holidays back.

In the meantime, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted us to care for their hens (and ducks!) over the years. It has truly been a pleasure.
