Gold Top Bantam Chick (Female)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please read our Guide to Rearing Chicks before purchasing. If you need a heat lamp/brooder, chick-safe drinker, feeder and chick food, they can be ordered from our online shop to collect at the same time as your chicks.

Gold Top bantam chicks are sex-linked so we know by the colour which are male and which are female.

Characteristics: Gold Top bantams are a cross between a bantam Silkie and a bantam Light Sussex. They are an attractive golden colour, small and friendly. They are not inclined to fly but do go broody and make good mothers.

Hen colour: Gold, some with black markings

Hen size: Small

Egg colour: Light brown

Approximate number of eggs per year: 180

Chicks are sold from one day old to two weeks of age. They are health-checked before being sold. If you have concerns about a chick you have purchased, please contact us immediately. We offer a 48 hour return period wherein we will take back the chick and swap it for a suitable alternative (if available) or issue a refund for the price paid.
