Vorwerk Chick (Unsexed)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please read our Guide to Rearing Chicks before purchasing. If you need a heat lamp/brooder, chick-safe drinker, feeder, and chick food, these can be ordered from our online shop to collect at the same time as your chicks.

Vorwerk chicks cannot be sexed at hatch, so there is an equal chance that chicks may be male or female. Do not purchase unsexed chicks if you are unable to keep or rehome cockerels.

Characteristics: Vorwerks are rare and attractive pure breed chickens that enjoy free-ranging but are also fine in a large run. They are hardy birds.

• Hen size: Medium light breed
• Egg colour: Cream
• Approximate number of eggs per year: 240

Chicks are sold from one day old to two weeks of age and are health-checked before sale. If you have any concerns about a chick you have purchased, please contact us immediately. We offer a 48-hour return period during which we will take back the chick and either swap it for a suitable alternative (if available) or issue a refund for the price paid.
